What We Believe
River of Life Pentecostal Church of God is a family of believers committed to the unchanging Word of God, empowered by His Spirit, and devoted to sharing His love throughout the world.
We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God — the foundation for faith and life. Our calling is to live according to His truth, empowered by the Holy Spirit, and united in love as one body in Christ.
Every belief we hold points to the redemptive work of Jesus and the power of His resurrection. At River of Life, our faith is more than words — it’s a way of living that transforms hearts, renews minds, and brings hope to the world.
All Scripture is given by inspiration of God. (2 Timothy 3:16)
Our God is one, revealed in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (Matthew 28:19)
Salvation comes through the blood of Jesus Christ and a life of holiness. (1 John 1:7–9; Hebrews 12:14)
We practice baptism by immersion as an outward sign of faith in Jesus Christ. (Matthew 28:19)
We believe in the baptism in the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues and the operation of spiritual gifts. (Acts 2:4; 10:44–46; 19:6; 1 Corinthians 12)
Healing and miracles are available to believers through the atoning blood of Jesus Christ. (Isaiah 53:5; Matthew 8:16–17; James 5:14–15)
We regularly partake of the Lord’s Supper to remember His death and resurrection. (1 Corinthians 11:27)
We look forward to the imminent return of our Lord Jesus Christ. (Matthew 24:25; Acts 1:11; 1 Thessalonians 4:16–18)
Those who die without Christ will be eternally separated from God. (2 Thessalonians 1:9)
